ˇ VIVA MEXICO !


Mexican cuisine still has many ingredients and recipes dating back from the indigenous people, first of all the Maya and Aztec Indians. But it has been heavily influenced by Spain during the colonial centuries. As a result Mexican dishes are diverse, daring and delicious. Beans, fish, corn, squash, tomatoes, chocolate, avocado, vanilla, spices, and - of course - chili peppers are popular ingredients all over Mexico. Apart from that many regions have their own recipes, unknown in other parts of the country.
Pozole de Pescado
Pozole is a traditional Mexican soup that comes in many variations. The one we have chosen contains fish and corn.
Chili con Carne Mexicana
We continue with chili con carne (picture) - maybe Mexico's best-known export product. It is a favorite in dozens of countries and comes in hundreds of variations. Its main ingredients are red beans, ground beef and tomatoes. We serve it with potatoes to your choice: baked or mashed. The dish is accompanied by a refreshing avocado salad.

We finish with a delicious fresh pudding made of egg, lemon and whipped cream.
